We strive for the highest standard of music integrity and intellectual property rights. Each artist or label that distributes through our platform must provide clear evidence of ownership before content is published. That way all the material you distribute is properly licensed and legally owned.

 We treat copyright issues seriously. If you think your content has been infringed, you can file a dispute with us through our system. For a fair investigation, we need substantial proof of ownership. A claim sent without documentation may be delayed or denied. UMW Recordings Inc. subscribes to the same high standards of legal and artistic soundness and integrity.

We are dedicated to not only educating artists and labels, but also protecting their intellectual property with a formidable commitment. As a part of onboarding, every client has to attest and prove that they own any content they distribute via our platform. This way UMW can be assured that any document hosted or delivered by UMW is properly permitted and licensed and in compliance with industry standards of copyright.
 We understand the serious nature of copyright infringement and its impact on creators. Therefore, we’ve built a transparent and secure process for handling disputes:

‍Immediate Review: All copyright claims are reviewed promptly by our legal compliance team.
‍Documentation Required: To ensure an effective resolution, we require tangible evidence of ownership (e.g. contracts, metadata registration, distribution agreements, timestamps).
‍Integrity First: We do not act on declarations alone. Claims without proper documentation are considered incomplete and may delay or block resolution.
‍Neutral Adjudication: In the case of a dispute between multiple parties, UMW acts as a neutral intermediary until ownership is legally clarified.

Unauthorised distribution of third party content.Use of copyrighted content without obtaining the relevant licence.
False ownership or abuse takedown.
An infraction is punished with a level of zero tolerance and could involve the temporary or permanent loss of access to our services.
 UMW Recordings Inc. will only consider claims submitted via the appropriate channels and accompanied by all required legal documents. Misuse of the copyright reporting process — including false claims or bad-faith disputes — may result in legal liability and platform sanctions.By using our services, all clients acknowledge and accept our copyright and dispute resolution terms as part of their contractual agreement with UMW Recordings Inc.
